External Sealers

Most external sealers are either film forming or penetrating. The most common type is an acrylic solvent based sealer, although water based acrylic sealers are also available. Acrylic sealers are widely used for protection of the concrete from dirt and grime whilst also achieving a wet look and to enhance the natural colour of the concrete work.

Coloured acrylic sealers (also often called concrete paint) are also available and are used to change the colour of existing plain, stamped, stencil or already previously resurfaced concrete. Acrylic sealers tend to be slippery on smooth and steep slopes, and may require a slip-reducing additive.

South Coast Decorative Concrete Supplies has its own range of concrete sealers, as well as supplying the popular Nutech premixed coloured sealers. Custom colour matching is also available on request. Along with concrete sealers South Coast Decorative Concrete Supplies has solvent (xylene) thinners in a variety of sizes and also stocks sealer repair solution (repsol) to fix any moisture affected areas and blistering.
